Chrysoprase and Chrysophrase, is found in metamorphic rocks and rarely in sedimentary rocks which are formed by the alterations of igneous rocks. It represents one of the typical natural gemstones from the silicate mineral family. It occurs as nodules within shale, or as veins within granite and gneiss.
